Starbucks K-Cups

In a recent article, we talked about the possibility of Starbucks K-Cups becoming a reality, well I have some good news. Starbucks has officially announced that a strategic relationship with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR) has been formed, to offer Starbucks K-Cups. For some consumers, the wait has literally seemed like an eternity, but it is finally over and the expectation for the new Starbucks K Cups is very exciting.

For months and even years, the question of whether or not Starbucks would join the single-serve coffee K-Cup world has finally come to fruition. The recent announcement that “The Big Green,” a.k.a Starbucks, is joining with The Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. is an extremely strategic move for this “GREEN” relationship. Manufacturing, marketing, distributing, and selling the Starbucks K Cups to be used in The Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Keurig Single Cup brewing system is a big step for both companies.

Starbucks K-Cups Will Be Made Exclusively By GMCR

What will this new joint relationship provide for those who use the K Cup Coffee Maker? Consumers will be able to experience Starbuck’s premium roasted coffee from their very own kitchen. This also means that this will further Starbucks stated goals concerning the expansion of its presence in the single serve coffee market.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and Starbucks plan to make these new portion cups available online and in their retail stores during the last quarter of 2011. This exclusive and licensed coffee brand will be produced by The Green Mountain Coffee Roasters to be exclusively used in conjunction with the Keurig Brewing System.
