Summer is gone and with winter in the air there is no better time to be writing about my recent K Cup reviews. There is nothing like a warm cup of coffee on those cold early mornings and lately I have had the privilege to try a lot of different k cup coffees. In this article we are going to focus on our latest review of green mountain k cup coffee. So grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters

Our Blend- This Green Mountain K Cup coffee is their classic house and portrays a very traditional American tasting cup of coffee. You will find this coffee to have a syrupy mouth feel with hints a sweetness and mild acidity. In the finish of this cup we detected dark chocolates notes giving the finish some complexity. The aroma of this coffee was pleasant with hints of chocolate, butter, and woody notes. Overall this coffee was a very good traditional cup coffee. Nothing exciting here just a solid cup of coffee.

Fair Trade Holiday Blend- With the holidays quickly approaching we thought it was be good to perform a K Cup coffee review about a Holiday blend that you could enjoy during this wonderful time of year. The coffees that make up this Green Mountain K Cup coffee blend are from small certified fair trade farms that grow coffee in Central and South America. This coffee is a blend of light and dark roasted coffee creating balanced and deliciously rich cup of Joe. In this cup of coffee we were able to detect black currents and dark chocolate coupled with a very gentle acidity. The mouth feel was very silky and velvet that lingered long. In the aroma we detected hints of lemon with woody overtones. Overall this cup was very rich with a great chocolaty finish. I would definitely recommend this coffee for you up coming holiday parties it is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

We hope that this information will prove to be beneficial when you are selecting coffee for your next K Cup coffee purchase. If you have any K Cup Coffees that you would like us to include in our next K Cup review feel free to leave us a comment in the comments section at the bottom of this post.

Over the weekend I had a chance to try out several new K Cups that I received in the mail. It doesnt get much better than a weekend full of drinking coffee. For those of you that are an coffee addict like me you definitely understand. Here are some general cupping notes from my experiences using keurig coffee makers this weekend. I hope that the k cup reviews are beneficial in helping you make the right decision next time you purchase coffee.

Van Houtee Coffee

Van Houtee coffee began in Montreal Canada in the year 1919. Today it is one of the leading roasters in Canada using the traditional European small batch roasting methods. Van Houtte coffee is one of the newest roasters to package coffee using the K Cup coffee system, and they offer a small selection of single origins and blends. Here are a couple that I have had a chance to review so far.

Sumatra Mandheling- This is a exotic dark roasted coffee with loads of body that is very distinctive of coffees from the Sumatra region.. Upon tasting you could taste earthiness, hints of dark chocolate, and a tangy finish. It had a unique acidity present, but was naturally sweet and pleasant nevertheless. I would highly recommend this coffee anyone who is looking for that bold flavor coffee without the bitterness. Another plus is this coffee is still reasonably priced at $13.45 for a 24pak.

House Blend- Van Houtee’s House Blend is a medium roasted coffee that is well balanced. This k cup coffee is smooth tasting with a woody flavor and pleasant aroma. Definitely nothing exotic about this coffee, just a smooth and well balanced cup.

Green Mountain Coffee

Green Mountain Coffee was started in 1981 in a town called Waitsfield Vermont. From their humble beginnings their focus has been on quality coffee and it still is today. Over the course of the last 28 years they have transformed into one of the leading specialty coffee company’s in America and continue to grow at a rapid pace.

Vermont Country Blend- From the very first sip you could taste this blends complexity. I would consider this k cup coffee to be extremely well balanced with a great mouth feel. This blend consists of light and dark roasted coffees that adds to the many complex layers of this cup. If your tired of plain ole coffee this might be the cup for you. This blend is smooth, rich and sweet all at the same time. And to top it off it has a pleasant lingering aftertaste that will make you wanting another sip.

I hope you enjoyed the K Cup reviews, until next time. Brew on!

The options for K Cup Coffee seem to be growing more and more every month. Now there are so many manufactures and blends available you are sure to find one that suites your palate. To make things easier I have listed several of my favorite K Cup blends and conducted K Cup reviews to help you decide which is the right coffee for you.

Coffee People

One of the newest manufactures of the K Cup is a company located in Eugene Oregon called Coffee People. Having grew up in the northwest I am very familiar with the Coffee People brand as it is wide spread through out Oregon. Having experienced their coffee before made the decision easier to try their k cups out. I was definitely impressed and would recommend their coffee to anyone. Here are a couple of my favorite coffees from the Coffee People.

Black Tiger- Black tiger is a full bodied coffee, roasted on the dark side. Lots of earth tones in this coffee, which I am a big fan of. This coffee definitely had a caffeine kick to it. I also found it on the web listed at $12.95 for a 24 count box making this coffee affordable. What a great morning coffee! Try it out today.

Donut Shop- This coffee is advertised as a morning coffee but I could drink it all day long. It is a medium roasted blend, that is a sweet tasting, full bodied coffee. I did not get the caffeine kick from this coffee like I did with the Black Tiger, but nevertheless I enjoyed it even more. I tend to be partial to coffees that are sweet and pleasant to drink throughout the day. If that is what you are looking for then this coffee is for you.

Caribou Coffee

Caribou Coffee was founded in 1992 in Minneapolis Minnesota. Today this the second largest company owned coffee franchise, with over 500 locations in 16 states as well as a few locations outside of the United States. When Caribou Coffee came out with their k cup coffee line I figured I had to try some coming from one of the leaders in the coffee industry today.

Colombia- Once I took my first sip of this coffee I was hooked! In the Colombia state of Huila nestled in the southern region is the town called Timana. Timana is know for its wonderful coffees and this coffee roasted by Caribou is no different. From the first drip brewed you could smell a delicate floral aroma that permeated the air. Upon tasting this medium bodied coffee you could taste sweet caramel notes followed by smooth roasted nuts. Truly one of my favorites to say the least.

I will be continuing my K Cup reviews of different blends of K Cup coffee . I hope you look forward to trying these coffees out as much as I do. Until next time.
