There are some things in life that are crucial to everyday functionality, my K cup coffee maker being one of them. Over the weekend I was camping in the great outdoors and realized how much I missed my home Kuerig Breville K-Cup Coffee brewer. Now don’t get me wrong I still had some good coffee made from my french press coffee maker, but there is nothing like the simplicity of the Breville. When I arrived home from rolling in the dirt for four days I was ecstatic to see a UPS package on my door step. This packaged contained my latest order of K Cups coffee from Caribou, and quickly found out I was in for a treat.

Caribou Coffee -
As I have stated before Caribou Coffee has become one of the leaders in the coffee industry today, and rightfully so! Their coffee painstakingly selected and come from some of the finest Arabica Beans on the planet. Their dedication to sourcing quality coffees is evident in each and every cup that you will partake of. In the latest K cup Coffee Info review I had a chance to try a couple different Caribou coffees, and I have listed my results below.

Daybreak Morning Blend

This is a light roasted coffee blend of coffees from four different orgins. This blend consists of beans from Guatemala, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Ethopia and in such away that brings loads of flavor to your cup.

Courtesy Of:Annia316

Upon tasting this coffee I experienced hints of fruit and nuts with a sweet caramel finish. If you like a light roasted coffee this is one on those coffees that needs to be enjoyed and not rushed. This coffee is perfect for those lazy Saturday mornings reading the morning paper.

Caribou Blend

Caribou Coffee’s K-Cup signature blend definitely does not disapoint. If you are looking for a coffee to enjoy all day long, this coffee is worth trying. This blend consists of coffee’s from Central and South America paired with a Indonesian bean. I found this cup to be very well balanced with hints of fruit, big body, with clean syrupy taste that lingers on your tongue. Well balanced is the perfect descriptor for this coffee.

I hope this K Cup review was informative and gives you a couple of new coffees to try. Until next time brew on!

For all of the followers of K Cup Coffee info I have decided on a new format for the coffee reviews that I have been doing. I will try to write at least two K Cup reviews a month(down the road we might change this, since nothing is set in stone as of right now). Each review will be an informal type of review that consist of two to five coffees. I thought of making the reviews formal but decided against it, as I want the reviews to beneficial for the everyday coffee drinker. If you have any suggestions for this site feel free to leave a comment and I will see what I can do to accommodate your requests. Now that I have gotten that out of the way, lets move on to what coffee I have been drinking lately. Over the last few days I have been enjoying my morning k cups fix, from Tully’s Coffee. I picked coffees from similar origins and the results were surprisingly different. Hope you enjoy!

Tully’s Coffee

Having the privilege of growing up in the northwest one of my favorite cities for drinking coffee, has always been Seattle. I have visited numerous coffee shops in Seattle and have found many I enjoy and frequent as often as I can. One that I have tried on more than one occasion is Tully’s Coffee. Tully’s Coffee opened their first store in 1992 in the Seattle area and have been roasting great coffee ever since. They are small batch roaster of specialty coffee and take pride in their Seattle coffee heritage. Tully’s has always been obsessed with uncovering the true potential in each and every coffee that they roast. Just recently I received the opportunity to try out some of their K- Cup Coffee. Here are some notes of the coffees I was able to taste.

Tully’s Breakfast Blend

The origins of this coffee comes from the countries of Colombia and Uganda. Upon the first taste of this coffee I experienced a rush of floral and light sweet undertones tones. I felt this coffee faded a little in the finish, but overall was a pleasant cup. I would definitely not have a problem starting my morning out with this coffee.

Tully’s Madison Blend

This blend of coffee is made up of coffee from the regions of Colombia, Uganda, and Guatemala. This is an uniquely balanced cup that is deep and rich in taste. This a bold coffee with a great mouth feel and a lingering after taste that made me want a second cup.

Tully’s French Roast

The underlying common coffee in this review was Ugandan, and this blend is no different. The regions that the beans originate from in this blend are Uganda and Guatemala. This coffee is roasted at a french roast level and is bold bold bold! From the first sip you can detect a smokey taste that is very intense and lingers a long time. The most amazing characteristic about this coffee is it has a silky finish that is very pleasant. For all you dark roast lovers this k cup coffee is for you!

Over the weekend I had a chance to try out several new K Cups that I received in the mail. It doesnt get much better than a weekend full of drinking coffee. For those of you that are an coffee addict like me you definitely understand. Here are some general cupping notes from my experiences using keurig coffee makers this weekend. I hope that the k cup reviews are beneficial in helping you make the right decision next time you purchase coffee.

Van Houtee Coffee

Van Houtee coffee began in Montreal Canada in the year 1919. Today it is one of the leading roasters in Canada using the traditional European small batch roasting methods. Van Houtte coffee is one of the newest roasters to package coffee using the K Cup coffee system, and they offer a small selection of single origins and blends. Here are a couple that I have had a chance to review so far.

Sumatra Mandheling- This is a exotic dark roasted coffee with loads of body that is very distinctive of coffees from the Sumatra region.. Upon tasting you could taste earthiness, hints of dark chocolate, and a tangy finish. It had a unique acidity present, but was naturally sweet and pleasant nevertheless. I would highly recommend this coffee anyone who is looking for that bold flavor coffee without the bitterness. Another plus is this coffee is still reasonably priced at $13.45 for a 24pak.

House Blend- Van Houtee’s House Blend is a medium roasted coffee that is well balanced. This k cup coffee is smooth tasting with a woody flavor and pleasant aroma. Definitely nothing exotic about this coffee, just a smooth and well balanced cup.

Green Mountain Coffee

Green Mountain Coffee was started in 1981 in a town called Waitsfield Vermont. From their humble beginnings their focus has been on quality coffee and it still is today. Over the course of the last 28 years they have transformed into one of the leading specialty coffee company’s in America and continue to grow at a rapid pace.

Vermont Country Blend- From the very first sip you could taste this blends complexity. I would consider this k cup coffee to be extremely well balanced with a great mouth feel. This blend consists of light and dark roasted coffees that adds to the many complex layers of this cup. If your tired of plain ole coffee this might be the cup for you. This blend is smooth, rich and sweet all at the same time. And to top it off it has a pleasant lingering aftertaste that will make you wanting another sip.

I hope you enjoyed the K Cup reviews, until next time. Brew on!
